Should You Repair Or Replace Your Roof?

Here are some factors to consider when deciding whether to repair or replace your roof.

What is the age of the roof? Are your 20 year asphalt shingles 20 years old or even older? If your roof is well within its lifespan then chances are you can solve your problem with a roofing repair. But if your roof is at the end of its lifespan or you have other warning signs then replacing the roof may be your best choice.

The obvious leak is a good indication that your roof needs attention but other important factors include whether the decking between the rafters is sagging or suffering from water damage. If you can see extensive water damage it may be better to replace the roof.
